My parents named me Carmia, and I am a Visual and UX designer based on Kent Island, Maryland.
How did I get here? A combination of hard work, guts, determination, and a curious mind. I am passionate about creating, whether it's bringing a simple, colorless canvas to life or repurposing tired, weathered items. Growing up in South Africa has given me a culturally rich, bold perspective—I am a designer that takes chances. When friends and co-workers describe me, the words “fearless” and “hard worker” are often used, which makes me proud and shows me that I might be able to inspire and motivate others.
